Walgreens Chicago International Dragon Boat Festival Presented by PepsiCo returns to beautiful Lake Arlington on Saturday July 26, 2014. The event brings culture, sport and international flavors to Lake Arlington Park and blends a 2,500 year-old tradition with the fun and excitement of an outdoor festival.

The festival is one of nine Walgreens Major League Dragon Boat Series events produced by GWN Dragon Boat. The fifth stop of circuit, Lake Arlington is at the forefront of a dragon boat movement in the Midwest. Dragon boating is rapidly rising in popularity. Teams from as far away as Florida and Canada will join participants from the Midwest to compete.
The festival is a wonderful time for spectators. People can come down to Lake Arlington and watch those on the water and see what it’s all about. aSceneChicago.com will be presenting multicultural performances throughout the day and the Walgreens Health and Wellness Village provides participants and spectators with products and services to help maintain a healthy lifestyle. Families can bring their children for games and activities at the Kids Zone.
